Multi-brand social media strategy, content creation, collaborations, and digital communications, driving significant audience growth across channels.
The Brief
As Digital and Social Media Specialist (promoted to Social Media Manager in 2025), I managed the Archdiocese of Denver's robust social media presence. My work spanned strategy and daily posts for three associated brands (Archdiocese of Denver, Denver Catholic, and El Pueblo Católico) across Instagram, Facebook, and X, with an additional Archdiocese presence on LinkedIn. My goal was to modernize the brands visually and editorially while shifting social strategy toward short-form video, carousels, and collaborative content designed to reach beyond existing followers.
The role also demanded significant editorial agility. Major moments, including the National Eucharistic Revival, election season, the death of Pope Francis, multiple pastoral notes by Archbishop Emeritus Aquila, and the election of a new pope, required our team to pivot quickly while maintaining thoughtful, timely communications across channels.
The Solution
I refreshed the brands with a more polished, contemporary visual style and maintained a playful and approachable brand voice. I prioritized reels, carousels, authentic photography, and targeted collaborations to grow our audience.
Pitching and executing collaborations with major news outlets and organizations was exhilarating. I collaborated with the National Eucharistic Revival, Catholic News Agency, USCCB, EWTN, March for Life, FOCUS, Catholic Charities of Denver, Christ in the City, Annunciation Heights, St. John Vianney Theological Seminary, and others.
To support archdiocesan parishes in their social media efforts, I successfully led two waves of Catholic Social Media parish onboarding and one-on-one implementation support. I created ready-made and customizable daily posts designed to empower parish staff to schedule an entire week of content in under 10 minutes with just a few clicks.
My work extended across the Archdiocese's broader digital communications ecosystem. During the migration to HubSpot, I played a significant role in audience segmentation and refreshing the look and structure of e-newsletters, while writing and distributing communications for priests, parish staff, and business managers. I also wrote fundraising emails for the Annual Seminaries Appeal and Archbishop's Catholic Appeal and supported election-season communications through Flocknote, adapting content and distribution to the needs of each audience and platform.
